Safari Overview

From Kenya’s rugged highlands to Tanzania’s sweeping plains, this journey blends thrilling wildlife encounters with the soul-stirring beauty of East Africa’s most legendary parks.

Day 1 – Nairobi to Ol Pejeta Conservancy

Pickup from Nairobi city hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. Drive north through the lush central highlands to Ol Pejeta Conservancy, home to the Big Five and the last two northern white rhinos on earth. Arrive in time for lunch. Afternoon game drive exploring this wildlife haven before returning to camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 2 – Ol Pejeta to Lake Nakuru National Park

Breakfast, then depart for Lake Nakuru—famed for its flamingos, rhinos, and leopard sightings. Arrive for lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive along the shores and acacia woodland. Return to lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3 – Lake Nakuru to Lake Naivasha

Morning drive to Lake Naivasha. Enjoy a boat ride to spot hippos and a visit to Crescent Island for a guided walking safari among giraffes and antelopes. Lunch at the lodge. Afternoon at leisure or optional visit to Hell’s Gate National Park. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 4 – Naivasha to Maasai Mara

After breakfast, journey to the world-famous Maasai Mara. Arrive for lunch, followed by your first thrilling game drive in this wildlife paradise. Return to camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 5 & 6 – Maasai Mara

Two full days in the Mara. Choose between:

Option 1: Early morning game drive, return to camp for breakfast and rest, then afternoon game drive.
Option 2: Breakfast, then a full-day game drive with packed lunch deep into the reserve.

Optional Maasai Village visit ($20) and Hot Air Balloon Safari over the Mara ($450) at sunrise, followed by a champagne breakfast in the bush. Evenings return to camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 7 – Maasai Mara to Serengeti National Park

Breakfast, then drive to the Isebania border for immigration formalities before entering Tanzania’s Serengeti. Arrive for lunch at your lodge or camp. Afternoon game drive across the endless plains before returning for dinner and overnight.

Day 8 & 9 – Serengeti National Park

Two full days in the Serengeti with the same flexible game drive options as in the Mara—either morning and afternoon drives or a full day with packed lunch. Optional Hot Air Balloon Safari ($550) over the Serengeti at dawn. Return each evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 10 – Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, enjoy a game drive en route to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Descend into the crater for a half-day safari with a packed lunch surrounded by one of the highest concentrations of wildlife in the world. Ascend to your lodge on the crater rim for dinner and overnight.

Day 9 – Tsavo East: Where the Earth Turns Red

Day 10 – Tsavo West: The Wild’s Gentle Side

Cross into Tsavo West, where lava flows, lush springs, and hidden valleys offer a softer, more mysterious beauty. Your lodge is perched for panoramic views — the perfect setting for a quiet evening together.

Day 11 – Ngorongoro to Tarangire National Park

Breakfast, then drive to Tarangire—famous for its giant baobabs and vast herds of elephants. Lunch at the lodge. Afternoon game drive before returning for dinner and overnight.

Day 12 – Tarangire to Amboseli National Park

After breakfast, drive via the Namanga border into Kenya and onward to Amboseli National Park. Arrive for lunch. Afternoon game drive beneath the towering backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro. Dinner and overnight at lodge or camp.

Day 13 – Amboseli National Park

Full day in Amboseli. Choose between morning and afternoon game drives with lunch at the lodge, or a full-day game drive with packed lunch. Return for dinner and overnight.
