Safari Overview

Departing early from Nairobi, this day trip takes you on a scenic journey to the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak, offering breathtaking backdrops for photography and game viewing.

Amboseli is renowned for its large herds of elephants, often seen walking majestically across the plains with snow-capped Kilimanjaro in the background. The park also hosts a variety of wildlife, including lions, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, and over 400 bird species.

Ideal for travelers with limited time, this one-day adventure combines stunning landscapes, abundant wildlife, and the raw beauty of one of Kenya’s most beloved parks—all in a single unforgettable day.

Day 1: Nairobi –Amboseli National Park

You will be picked from your hotel or airport on your arrival and drive to Amboseli National Park with fantastic views of the Ngong hills and the Masai villages with breakfast on the way. Arriving in time for a morning game drive until lunch time. After lunch at Oltukai lodge, you will have an afternoon game enroute to the gate for exit formalities

Amboseli offers an interesting contrast in appearance. It has a somewhat dry and dusty appearance, which can be attributed to the volcanic ash that came out of Mt Kilimanjaro when it last erupted. Mt Kilimanjaro is located just about 25 miles away.  Visitors mainly come to watch the huge herds of elephants. There are about 900 elephants in the park. Wildlife here includes the zebra, wildebeest, giraffe, impala, caracal and serval cat, lion, leopard, cheetah, buffalo, wild dog, and hippo. You will also enjoy excellent views of Mt Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru. After park exit, you will dive back to Nairobi. You will be dropped off at the hotel of your choice in the evening.
